Before your appointment, following your consultation and approval by the medical team, there are a few simple steps to help ensure the best experience. It is generally advised to avoid alcohol and certain supplements for at least 24 to 48 hours prior, unless these are medically necessary. On the day of your appointment, please arrive with clean, makeup-free skin and avoid vigorous exercise or heat exposure. Please inform Ella of any recent illness, dental work, vaccinations, or other medical treatments, as these may influence your treatment plan. Personalised preparation advice will be provided as part of your consultation.
Following your appointment, you may experience some swelling, tenderness, or redness in the treated area. These effects are temporary and typically resolve within a few days. It is advised to avoid touching or massaging the treated area and to refrain from applying makeup for the first 24 hours. Alcohol, strenuous exercise, and heat exposure should also be avoided during this time. Detailed aftercare instructions will be provided by Ella at your appointment, and a follow-up appointment may be recommended depending on your individual assessment.

Why can't specific treatment names be mentioned?
Australian law prohibits the advertising or naming of certain injectable medicines in public-facing materials. This consultation is about understanding your concerns and exploring your options not promoting specific products.
Can I have treatment the same day?
Generally, no unless you are an existing patient and only where it is safe and clinically appropriate. A mandatory cooling-off period is observed at Ella Burgess Aesthetics. If it is agreed to proceed, treatment would be scheduled separately, following informed decision-making.
Who regulates this process?
The TGA governs the advertising of certain goods, and AHPRA sets the standards for health practitioner conduct — including informed consent, clinical suitability, and ongoing training. Ella is fully registered and practises in accordance with both.
